What is The Senior Year Story?
A year-long photography experience for Class of 2027 families in Austin and the Texas Hill Country. We capture three meaningful senior-year moments as they naturally happen — one in fall, winter and spring — then create the complete Cover Story portrait session with professional hair and makeup.
Is this four separate photo sessions?
No. The only traditional portrait session is The Cover Story. The three documentary chapters happen at events or moments already on your family's calendar, so they require little or no additional preparation.
Do we have to plan or style the three documentary chapters?
No. There's nothing to plan or style. You tell us the moment — a game, a recital, a morning at the barn — and we come to it as it's already happening.
How long is each documentary chapter?
Approximately 30–60 minutes, depending on the event.
What kinds of moments can we choose?
Sports, a dance rehearsal or performance, theater, band, scouting, homecoming, prom preparation, senior traditions, a morning at the barn, time with close friends, cap and gown, graduation, or another moment that's personally meaningful.
What happens if a game, performance or event is rescheduled?
If a moment is rescheduled due to weather or school changes, we'll work with your family's calendar to capture it at the new time when availability allows.
What is included in The Cover Story session?
Two to three hours across up to three thoughtfully planned locations, multiple planned looks, professional hair and makeup, styling and session planning, guided posing and direction, 150 images to choose from with 80 fully edited, and optional artwork and album consultation.
Are edited digital images included?
Yes. Edited digital images from all three chapters are included, along with the 80 fully edited images from your Cover Story session.
Can family members or friends be included?
Documentary chapters focus on your senior, but family moments that happen naturally are always welcome. The Cover Story session is for your senior.
Can we book a regular one-day senior session instead?
Yes. Individual senior sessions are available separately through our
Senior Collections, for families who'd prefer one session rather than The Senior Year Story.
How much does The Senior Year Story cost?
$1,650 + tax. Early enrollment is $1,350 + tax through August 31. An optional 3-minute film of your year is available as an add-on for $300.
Is a payment plan available?
Yes. Families reserve with a 30% retainer, then can split the remaining balance into two payments, with the full amount due before the Cover Story portrait session. Early enrollment pricing is available through August 31.
How far do you travel?
We photograph seniors throughout Austin and the Texas Hill Country, including Westlake, Bee Cave, Barton Creek, Lake Travis, Lakeway, Tarrytown, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Round Rock and Hutto.
Do you photograph seniors in Hutto, Georgetown, or Round Rock?
Yes. We regularly photograph seniors in Hutto, Georgetown, and Round Rock, along with Westlake, Bee Cave, Lakeway, and Cedar Park.
When should we reserve the experience?
As early as possible. Because this work requires our ongoing availability and personal attention throughout the year, we take on only a small number of year-long stories each year.
