An engagement session is rarely about the photographs alone. It's the first time we work together — a relaxed hour or two that makes your wedding day feel familiar instead of new. By the time we photograph your wedding, the camera is no longer a stranger, and neither are we.

You learn what to do with your hands and where to look; we learn how you connect. Nothing about the wedding day feels like the first time.

Directed Only When It Helps
We photograph engagement sessions the way we photograph weddings — mostly unobtrusive, stepping in to guide only when it earns its place. We'll suggest somewhere that means something to the two of you, or a spot around Austin or the Hill Country with room to move, and then largely let you be.
