How to Get Ready for Your Team Photo Session
A coach's and parent's guide to getting ready for team photo day in Austin — scheduling, rosters, uniforms, and how the session runs.
Team photo day goes best when everyone shows up prepared. This short guide is for coaches, team parents, and organizers — follow it and the whole session runs smoothly, start to finish.
Before Photo Day
- Confirm the date, time, and location with every family a week ahead, then again the day before.
- Send us a roster with correct spellings and jersey numbers so ordering and labeling are accurate.
- Ask everyone to arrive 10–15 minutes early — a few late arrivals can hold up the whole team.
- Decide who's bringing team gear (banners, balls, bats, trophies) for group shots.
Pick one team parent to be the "wrangler" on photo day. Having someone to line kids up and keep the group moving is the single biggest thing that keeps a session on time.
What Everyone Should Wear & Bring
- Full, clean uniform — correct jersey, shorts or pants, and socks.
- Team shoes or cleats (bring a towel if the field is muddy).
- Any gear that's part of the look — glove, bat, ball, racket, stick.
- Hair tidy and out of the eyes; hats on only if they're part of the uniform.
How the Session Runs
We work efficiently and in a set order so no one waits around. A typical media day includes:
- Individual portraits for every athlete on the roster.
- The full team group photo (and smaller groupings if you'd like).
- Coach and staff portraits.
- Optional action or "hero" shots, if that's part of your session.
After Photo Day
Every family receives a digital gallery that's easy to view, download, and order prints from — typically within about a week. Ordering is simple and per-family, so you're not collecting order forms or money as a coach.
Great team photos start with a calm, on-time session. Prep the families, assign a wrangler, and we'll handle the rest.
