What to Wear
Across almost every session type, the same wardrobe principles hold true. Solid colors and soft textures photograph more cleanly than busy patterns, small prints, or large logos, which can pull attention away from faces and expressions. Coordinating outfits — similar tones and a shared palette — generally photographs better than trying to match exactly.
If you're unsure between two outfits, bring both. It's much easier to choose once we see how something actually photographs in the light and setting of your session than to guess ahead of time.
Quick check: if an outfit feels slightly dressed up for an ordinary day, it's usually about right for a session — photographs tend to read as more casual than they feel in person.
What to Expect During Your Session
Every session has its own rhythm, but the structure is usually similar: a little time to settle in and get comfortable, the main portion of guided portraits and candid moments, and natural breathing room in between so nothing feels rushed. You're not expected to perform or know what's coming next — that's our job to manage.
It's normal to feel a little stiff in the first few minutes. That almost always fades once you're moving and talking rather than standing still and thinking about the camera.
You Don't Need to Know How to Pose
This is one of the most common concerns we hear, and it's also the easiest one to put to rest: you don't need to know how to pose, where to put your hands, or how to angle your body. We guide all of it — posture, movement, expression — in real time, throughout the session.
The goal isn't a series of held, static poses. It's natural movement and genuine expression, directed gently enough that it never feels like work.

Explore Our Portfolio →Planning Your Timeline
Most sessions run anywhere from one hour to a full day, depending on the type of session and collection. Whatever the length, it helps to build in a little buffer — for travel, for wardrobe changes, for the occasional unplanned delay — rather than scheduling back-to-back with no breathing room.
Your specific timeline, including arrival time and any wardrobe-change windows, will be confirmed as part of booking your session.
What Happens After Your Session
After your session, your images go through culling and editing before your gallery is delivered. Most galleries are ready within two to three weeks, though a few favorite images are sometimes shared sooner. You'll receive a private online gallery with downloads, and depending on your collection, options for prints, albums, or wall art.
